Decoroprealise; Body Dissected.

The central concept of these works is undermining of the narrow societal notions of feminine beauty and its commodification. By manipulating the forms of the models I am creating a decorporealisation of the female body, which protects from its perceived materiality while also critiquing manufactured beauty and its repressed dark side. By  removing the models from their original context and providing them with a new, darker, grungier one I am attempting to create a new discussion around these ideas. In this way I am also addressing contemporary fears of the other.
