I challenge the notion of the literal in regard to the philosophy of group behaviour in humans and herd behaviour in animals.
There is a connection between the group, the collective and the individual and the dialogue that can exist between all three. This dialogue explores the deeper concept of Collective Intelligence and my interpretation of the “individual” and the “group” using shape and form.
Collective Intelligence strongly attributes to the shift of knowledge and power from the individual to the collective. (Eric. S. Raymond: 1998)
With the deliciousness of Encaustic Wax techniques I have created a linking of individual pieces that relate in groups of texture form and colour speaking in a collective voice.
