Visual Arts and Design "And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt" - Sylvia Plath I consider myself a print maker and use a lot
of craft processes in my work. These
include sewing, a hobby taught to me
by my grandmother. As a young female artist I am interested in the lives and working methods of the women who pursed a creative career in a time when it wasn't encouraged. This is influenced by my love of stories, as I find myself drawn to writers, usually those who have had rather tragic lives. Literature features heavily in
my work in the form of quotes, themes,
and imagery. I focus on the writer themselves as much
as their works and have dedicated my
work to them.
