I am an illustrator who is inspired by the everything around me. I enjoy working with tactile media like watercolours and creating work that is colourful. My work for the graduate exhibition is a mixed media instillation. The work is based around the novel Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. This is my visual interpretation of the story and journey of the character Lolita. I was inspired by 50’s textiles and wallpaper. Each pattern in the instillation was hand painted with either watercolour paint or lipstick.
